Out of boredom, boyfriend and I went out to buy several DVDs at the nearest DVD store last week. We bought 4 DVDs since they have a promotion of buy 3 free 1. Sex Drive (2008) is among those DVDs that we bought. The cover caught our attention and it seems to be a pretty good laughter medicine. Turn up this 18+ comedy doesn’t disappoint us at all. It is indeed hilarious.
Synopsis of Sex Drive:
Ian (Josh Zuckerman), an 18 years old virgin, meets a hot chick online whom also known as “Ms. Tasty” (Katrina Bowden). After several chatting, she challenges him to met up and says something like this,”If you go all the way here, I’ll go all the way with you.”
That’s when Ian begins his adventure by driving ‘Judge’, Pontiac GTO belongs to his elder brother, along with his best friends Lance (Clark Duke) and Felicia (Amanda Crew). A series of unfortunate and hilarious events happen along the journey to meet Ms Tasty, whom ends up just wanting to steal the GTO car.
One of the scenes that I like is the bed scene of Lance and a woman that he just met at the gas station. Not because she is wearing some sexy teddies but because of some unfortunate events which happens in between. Lance is handcuffed to the bed and out of a sudden the woman’s boyfriend came in and chase the naked Lance. Well, still dare to play with other man’s woman huh?
A shocking new appears at the end of the movie. Ian’s brother, Rex Lafferty, often judges that Ian is a gay but.. actually Rex is the one with homosexuality. Whew..
