Movie plot of Mamma Mia! :
Meryl Streep plays Donna Sheridan, a single mother who lives in a colorful Greek island. Her daughter, Sophie Sheridan (by Amanda Seyfried), was about to get married with the man she loved. Being raises by her Mum only, Sophie never knows whom her father is. But she discovers Donna’s diary that contains her past love story and finds out these 3 men, whom could be her father. She invites them to her wedding without informing Donna.
I love this movie despite the not-so-great storyline and lots of singing every now and then. Probably it is the easy listening ABBA’s song that could engage the audience, in this case it’s me.
I would say Mamma Mia! is like the human version of Anastasia kind of movie. You know, beautiful setting as if it’s in a fairytale and engaging lyric plus music with several silly characters. In this case it is the 2 best friends of Donna. They are quite funny, you gotta watch it. But it’s a bit weird listening to the singing of Pierce Brosnan. Can’t get away with the Bond image.
