After shopping with the boyfriend and checking out the patio furniture in one of the classic furniture outlet, we headed off the cinema for Fast and Furious 4 movie. Before it starts, the screen was showing several trailers of the upcoming movies. This 3-D movie grabbed our attention with the monsters characters and unforgettable funny line (for us) between a doctor in cockroach character and a one-eye-cute-blue-monster:
Dr. Cockroach Ph.D.: [about B.O.B] You must forgive my friend, but as you can see, he has no brain.
B.O.B.: Turns out, you don’t need one.
And soon we knew that it was the new 3-D animation “Monsters vs Aliens” from DreamWorks Animation and Paramount Pictures.
Synopsis / Movie plot of Monsters vs Aliens:
When a meteorite from outer space hits a young California woman named Susan Murphy and turns her into a giant monster, she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years. As a last resort, under the guidance of General W.R. Monger, on a desperate order from The President, the motley crew of Monsters is called into action to combat the aliens and save the world from imminent destruction!
Monsters vs Aliens is reported to sit at the 7th position of the USA Box-Office, grossing $191 million. Whew. The video game has also been released from PlayStation 3 to Wii. I am not a game player, so I’ll pass the game but I’ll watch the movie.
